Whom can I send money to?
U.S. users can send money to any recipient in the Philippines who has signed up for a TANGapp account. If you want to send money to someone who isn’t on TANGapp yet, invite them to sign up today in just 1 minute!
Can I send money on TANGapp without syncing my phone's contacts?
Yes! To do so, first make sure that your Philippines recipient has created a TANGapp account. Then, on the contacts screen, type in your recipient’s full phone number in the search bar. Their contact should appear automatically, and you can continue with the transaction.
Do I need a bank account to send money?
Yes, TANGapp currently requires users to send money through their bank accounts.
Do I need a bank account to receive money?
Yes, users in the Philippines must have a bank account in order to receive money on TANGapp. Sign up for our email list and get notified when we release new payment options in the future!
If I live in the Philippines, can I send money to others?
Not yet! Right now, money transfers are limited to U.S. users sending money to the Philippines. Sign up for our email list and get notified when we expand money transfer options in the future!
What is your fee for sending money from the U.S. to the Philippines?
We charge a 3% fee per transaction no matter if you’re sending $20 or $200. And that’s it! No hidden fees.
What should I do if I forgot my PIN?
You may reset your PIN by emailing us at support@tangapp.org using the email associated with your TANGapp account.
How do I cancel a transaction?
Please note that you may only cancel your transaction on the app if the money has not been sent to your recipient yet. To cancel a transaction, follow these simple steps:
1. Click on the transaction you’d like to cancel under Recent Activity.
2. Scroll down and click on the “Cancel transaction” button, and then select “Yes, cancel my transaction”
Why couldn’t I cancel my transaction?
If you do not see the “cancel transaction” button on the screen or if you see an error message, it means that your money has already been sent, and we are unable to cancel your transaction.
Phone Load
Can I buy load on TANGapp without syncing my phone’s contacts?
Yes! To do so, on the contacts screen, simply type in the Philippines phone number you want to purchase load for. A button will appear, allowing you to buy load for that specific number.
Can I use my bank account to purchase phone load?
Currently, TANGapp requires users to purchase phone load using their debit/credit cards.
How do I buy phone load for myself?
To purchase phone load for yourself, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Buy Load tab. 
2. Enter your phone number.
3. Select your load plan and click “Buy Load”. You will be prompted to link your credit card and complete the transaction.
How do I buy phone load for someone else?
To purchase phone load for someone else, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Buy Load tab. 
2. Enter your recipient’s phone number.
3. Select load and click “Buy Load”. You will be prompted to link your credit card and complete the transaction.
4. Your recipient will receive a text message from their telecom provider notifying them that they have received the phone load plan you purchased.
